Shelving how save is it ?

Where long rows of back to back shelving get build of up to 2400 mm in height, staff usually steps on the bottom shelf to reach the top only to damage the shelf and pull the whole bay towards causing major damage when the whole row collapes injuring people. Cross bracing from isle to isle can prevent this.How does this affect the Racking and Shelving ?
Shelving is extencifily used in the filing of Paper which is verry heavy when stored in bulk in order to save cost the client often takes over old shelving and some emplyee of the company builds the shelving only to relise that not enough bracing was used to stabilise the shelving properly, The proper use of 0ne pair Back and Side bracing is eccential, as well as the use of sufficient cornerplates ( a min. of 8 per bay ) positient in the right place. With the current boom in the south African economy , Recouses are stretched to there capabilities and with no slow done in sight it will get wors.
